Tell us about your hometown, family and hobbies.
I grew up in Cloverdale, Surrey where I played my first 3 years of minor hockey. My family is
extremely supportive, very nice and are great company. My hobbies consist of playing hockey,
basketball, working out and a bunch of other sports.
How did you originally begin playing hockey (what age as well) and what is your favourite memory from when you were younger?
I began playing hockey from being influenced by watching the canucks and my older brother
play, this was when I was around 4 years old. My favourite memory was taking shots from my
older brother for hours outside.
Who is your favourite NHL player and who do you model your game after? Why?
My current favourite goalie is Demko because he never gives up on a play and is also very
athletic. I try to model my game around both Luongo and Price because they both are athletic-styled goalies like me.
What team do/did you play for? What was your favorite part from the season?
I played for the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds U17. My favourite part of the season was probably
playoffs because in the dressing room it felt like a brotherhood and I was at the peak of my
What are your top goals as a student athlete? Why are they your top goals?
My top goals are to achieve A’s and B’s only. This is my top goal so I won’t have to worry about
my grades for D1.
How important is school from your perspective? Why is it that way?
School has become more and more important to me as the years go on, This past year school
has been my number 1 priority over hockey. It is this way because if I don’t get good grades I
can’t play hockey.
What would it mean to you to play at the NCAA or Pro level?
It would mean a lot because either route I decide to take it guaranteed good schooling along with
a solid level to play at.
What separates you as a player or person? How do you continue to get better?
What separates me from others is when things get tough I don’t give up I’ll find a way to get it
done or at least go down trying. I continue to get better at this because I am gaining more
realization of what it takes to make it to the next level.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports careers (community, team, success, etc.)
I am trying to create an image BC goalies can look up too.
One fun fact about yourself.
One fact about myself is that I actually like school, and I am always looking to learn.
