What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
My main goals next 5 years: Play a high level hockey, improving my hockey skills and abilities, and see which direction it may take me, possibly to achieve a scholarship or to attend college or university.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
I’d like to work towards these goals as I don’t fully know what path to take now that high school will be done! It’s very important as the decisions I make and goals I achieve may shape options I pursue in the future. It also would be a great accomplishment to reach my goals to give me confidence on whatever path I choose.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
What separates me from others? I am very consistent and reliable member of any team I’ve played on. Coaches and teammates can always depend on my effort and skills, both in games and every practice. I’d like to work on gaining strength, working on my shot, deke-ing and stick handling, would like to be in the gym 6-7 days a week and be on the ice more frequently.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I bring the reliability on the back end , including on the PK an PP, and have a very good +/-. I support the offence and contribute there also. Coaches can expect to be confident putting me out any and every shift needed. I’m a team player and my puck movement is very strong.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I am hoping to make an impact wherever I play by helping my team win and achieve the goals of the team. The most rewarding thing is team success.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
What I think separates the best players is their ability to make split second decisions at a high pace. IQ, strength, skill and hard work. All important features of the very best players.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
My favorite thing about the game is the team aspect and getting to play hockey at the highest level I can. Making friends along the way and building team relationships on and off the ice makes every bit of hard work rewarding.
