What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
I want to develop my game at a collegiate level with both of ice strength and on ice skills for the next 4 years and later onto a pro level form North America to Europe
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
Growing up I had the chance to watch my sisters go through the NCAA route where I was exposed to a path where top end hockey is matched with elite schooling. Going the collegiate route gives me the longest runway to develop and reach my full potential being a later physical developer. It allowed me to obtain a high educational degree while pursuing my hockey career. Achieving these goals would solidify all the work, dedication and sacrifices that I had made throughout my life to this point.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
My chartar above all is what separates me from other players. I may not be as naturally gifted as many players but I out work many, always caring for myself with a positive attitude and bring players up alongside challenging them. I try to always do the right thing to benefit my team first.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I would bring pride and work ethic. I pride myself on team success over personal, I was raised that the team always comes first, and making sacrifices for the betterment of the team would return to benefit yourself as well. So to answer the question, what would a coach expect from me is simply, I will do everything possible for the betterment of the team and to win, by playing whatever role is necessary.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
The impact I wanna leave behind is of loyalty. I grew up in Grande Prairie always playing for this city and jersey all the way throughout my Junior career. I wanna leave the idea that being loyal will in the end repay and that players do not need to leave home for a chance to move onto the next level.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
The thing that I believe separates the best players in the world is their mindsets. Their belief that they will not lose or get out worked when the pressure is one is what separates these players. So many players have elite skills but very few are able to succeed and get the job done when the pressure of the game and season is upon them.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
One of my favorite things about hockey is the connections and relationships that are made throughout playing. Everyone’s Hockey careers will end one day but the people that you have become friends with will last forever. That is why hockey is such a unique sport, a group of individuals that come together and leave as life long friends.
