What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
1. Training hard this summer to be prepared for Moose Jaw Winmar Warriors in U18 AAA.
2. Having a fun and good season with Moose Jaw, improve all my skills, and get more experience that way I can show everyone how much I have improved.
3. Get picked up by either a W.H.L team or S.J.H.L
4. Take my hockey career to the next level while playing in either one of those leagues.
5. Achieve a education while playing hockey and hopefully start a pro career
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
These are my goals because they set a path for me to get to the N.H.L. They are important to me because I feel like I can achieve them and get better at hockey. It would mean many things to achieve them such as putting in the work, never giving up, giving 110% all the time, and believe you can.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
I feel what separates me as a player is my work ethic and never give up attitude. If I make a mistake I never give up and I learn from my mistakes. Some areas requiring work is probably my offensive vision and confidence. I need to be a little more confident and believe in my decisions. I continue to get better by training everyday. I have a nutrition plan, also I am shooting pucks in my garage everyday and have a hockey / golf specific athletic training program designed to elevate my abilities in both sports.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I bring everything I have at what I am trying to do. I give 110% each time I’m on the ice, never give up after a mistake and be a good teammate in the locker room. What a coach can expect from me is to follow their systems and respect their rules they set on and off the ice.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
One of the biggest impacts I am looking to have in sports career is proving everyone wrong about how they felt about me as a player. I want to show the world of how much I can get better as a hockey player.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
I think what separates the best players in the world from other players is their work ethic, how much they want to get better, and how much effort and time they put into the game. Another factor is their confidence levels. Always believing in themselves, knowing they are making the right plays in all situations.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
Compete. I love to compete in everything I do. I love the challenge of getting better, knowing what is in front of me. I does not matter what I’m focused on whether it is education, athletics or personal growth, I am always looking to improve and win!
