What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
My main goals are to earn a commitment to play D1 hockey while pursuing an education, strive for a championship and progress to pro hockey
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
My goal is to reach the NHL, and I believe that D1 can be a path to that goal. NCAA allows me to pursue education while creating life opportunities beyond hockey. Achieving these goals would mean making it to the NHL, getting a good education and setting myself up for a bright future.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
What separates me as a player/person: I am a very hard-working, coachable player. I always look for ways to improve my game on and off the ice. I value my relationships with teammates and staff, aiming to build lasting connections. An area I can improve is my off-ice leadership and speaking up in the locker room. I can become better by continuing my commitment to off-ice training to elevate my game.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I come with a strong work ethic, loyalty, respect and a coachable attitude. If chosen for a roster spot, I’m dedicated to making an immediate impact through hard work and prioritizing the team’s success.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I want to be the backbone of a championship team, a role model for my community, a team player who inspires success and someone who contributes to the team’s overall achievements and leaves a positive impact both on and off the ice.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
I believe everything you don’t see is what makes the best players the best. Nutrition, sleep, and extra work on and off the ice are just a couple of factors that impact how they will feel/play during the season. Attributes/Intangibles that define them: work ethic, mental toughness, leadership, adaptability, resilience, vision and team-first mentality.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
Building lifelong relationships with your brothers in the locker room and sharing the experience of giving your all every day for your team logo.
