Born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, since the age of 4 Brett has had a deep passion for the game of hockey. Growing up, he played his minor hockey for the Mississauga Reps in the GTHL and Halton Hurricanes in the OMHA. After impressing at the minor hockey level, Brett was able to sign with the Carleton Place Canadians and win a CCHL championship at the age of 17. He went on to play 245 games at the junior hockey level split between the Canadians, the Hawkesbury Hawks in the CCHL, and the Lloydminster Bobcats in the AJHL. Following his junior hockey career Brett had the opportunity to attend Utica University on a scholarship. He played five years, won multiple conference championships, and had two NCAA tournament appearances while also being named an assistant captain for the Pioneers.

While playing at Utica University, Brett graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports management as well as a master’s degree in business administration. Since recently moving back to Ontario, Brett has joined the Visionary team.
