What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
Develop to my maximum potential and be the best player and person I can be. That development will be done through Junior A and progress to a career at the College/University level.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
I want to play hockey as long as I can because of my love of the game and would be meaningful as it would allow me to pursue future achievements in the game and potential connections for my future career
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
I have the ability to connect and advocate for myself, I’m competitive, tenacious and thrive where hard work is required. I need to continue to trust the process and not get down on myself. This can be done through continual improvement and focussing on the stepping stones toward my goals
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I’m willing to do whatever it takes to win and for the team to have success. I am a team guy and have great relationships with my teammates, and someone who works hard and with a positive attitude no matter my role in the lineup and do what is required of me for the team to be successful
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
My impact would be more than on the ice. I feel that contributing in a community that I am playing in with off ice contributions would be incredibly important and satisfying.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
I believe it is work ethic and doing things that others won’t to succeed. Attributes such as professionalism, the ability to be vulnerable and to be fearless is what would define them.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
The community of my teammates and hockey community as a whole. Like minded personalities. My best friendships are those that have been formed on teams I have played on.
