What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
Make a junior A team and to get a scholarship so I can play hockey while pursuing my education.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
These are my goals because I better my chances of getting a scholarship by making junior A and pursuing my education will allow me to have career options when hockey eventually comes to an end. It would mean a lot to me to achieve these goals because I set these goals a while ago and I’ve been working day in and out to achieve them.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
What separates me as a player and a person is that I am always the hardest worker on the ice day in and out and I am willing to do whatever it takes to win. As for off the ice as a person I am a kind, positive person no matter the situation. Areas that need work are my confidence in the offensive side of my game and to have trust in my offensive abilities. I continue to get better by pushing myself out of my comfort zone and working on the areas that require work.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I bring a relentless work ethic, a never give up attitude and infectious positivity. A coach can expect a solid defenseman who rarely gets beat, has a high hockey IQ and can provide offence as well.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I look to have a successful impact on a team where I help contribute to championships. Team wise I look to create friendships that last past my hockey career. Community wise I look to have a positive impact on the community through volunteer work and participating in the community.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
I believe that work ethic, determination and skill separate the best players in the world from everyone else. The most successful players put in the work day in and day out, both physically and mentally, to improve their game and become the best they can be.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
I believe that work ethic, determination and skill separate the best players in the world from everyone else. The most successful players put in the work day in and day out, both physically and mentally, to improve their game and become the best they can be.
