Growing up on Vancouver Island Brett always had a passion for hockey and to pursue that passion he left the Island at age 14 to pursue his dreams. Brett and his parents decided on Notre Dame in Saskatchewan, where he attended for grades 10 through 12. After impressing in his first year of U18AAA in the SMAAAHL, the following season as a 17-year-old Brett ended up making the jump to the AJHL for the Canmore Eagles. He played 159 games of  Junior A hockey in Canmore and earned a scholarship to play NCAA D3 college hockey at the College of St. Scholastica. Finishing his college career he played his final season at the Marian University of Wisconsin, but his passion for hockey led him to play professionally in multiple leagues across various countries, including the United States (SPHL, ECHL), Sweden (Ockelbo HC), France(Morzine-Avoriaz), and even Australia (Adelaide Adrenaline). Following his pro career Brett now resides in beautiful Humboldt, Saskatchewan.
