What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
My main goal for the next 5 years is to play the highest level of hockey possible for me. I put every day of my life into this game. I want to play in the WHL, and eventually in the NHL, and I will put everything I have to be there.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
The reason that I want to play in the WHL and the NHL is because I put every step into playing this game. Hockey is my passion. All I think about is playing hockey and being at my best every time I am on the ice.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
I practice like it is a game. The areas I work on are every area because you can always be better at the things you think you are already good at. Like John Flannagan said, do not practice until you get it right; practice until you cannot get it wrong. One of the ways that I work at getting better at it is watching my games and WHL and NHL, learning from my mistakes and the things I see at higher levels, and then putting things into practice that I need to work on.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
My team/coach will expect leadership, hard work, playing with grit, and using every bit of energy I have on the ice.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
The impact I want people to see from me is playing with grit and being strong with the puck and against the other team as well as standing up for my team in all situations and being a good person both on and off the ice. .
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
I believe what NHL players have in common is that they stay humble off the ice, and when they are on the ice they play with grit and determination and every shift they give 110%.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
I love being on the ice and putting work in to get better.
