What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
I want to get a masters or law degree and to play pro hockey.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
These goals are important to me because at heart I am a competitor, I want to win in every aspect of my life.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
My work ethic on and off the ice. I strive to be the hardest worker in the gym, in the classroom, and on the ice. I can be too competitive at times which can create tension with teammates who are less devoted or more relaxed. By accepting differences.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I bring a high hockey IQ that has grown since working with and under David Marcoux and a complex understanding of goaltending. Coaches can expect to see me staying late in the gym, in the class, and on the ice to get every minute of extra time becoming better.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I have a goal to sponsor youth hockey teams and make hockey more accessible to people from my indigenous culture.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
Work eithic. The best players in the world work longer and harder than anyone else is willing to.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
My favourite part of the game is the atmosphere in the room after a hard won game or a good battle day in practice after you have seen what every guy in the room is willing to do for the team to be successful.
