What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
I want to continue progressing to higher teams with a goal to be playing junior A or WHL in 2 to 3 years. My goal is to be playing college hockey in 3 to 5 years
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
Having these goals will push me to elevate my game to the next level as well as ensure focus on receiving a good education.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
What separates me as a player is my vision, playmaking, and ability to create offense with goals and assists. I feel that I am a hard worker and am relentless on the forecheck and backcheck. Not only putting effort on the ice but putting as much effort off the ice. I recognize that the off-ice component of my training is as important as working on my on-ice component. Listening to the coaches and paying attention to the coach’s instructions, asking questions to clarify, and executing coaches’ instructions. Focusing on the little details as well.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I help create a positive team culture and represent the team and program in a positive light so that others would want to be a part of the program. I am a good team player, not selfish, and enjoy supporting everyone each and every game. I am the type of player that can be utilized in any situation and have a 100 % commitment to the team and my teammates.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
For any success or recognition I get, I need to make sure I am a role model for younger kids. I always want to help take my teams to the highest achievement that they can go and be a part of and contribute to a championship team.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
What I think separates them is a strong work ethic, mentally strong, a strong desire to succeed, and a love of the sport.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
I love how fun the game is, competing against other people and most of all winning.
