What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
I want to play Junior A hockey, and for a university/College.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
I love hockey and being on a team, and education is important to me and it would be nice to get a scholarship for hockey. With that I would be able to learn important life skills and responsibility.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
I care about school and put in extra time and work outside of it to make sure I can maintain my grades. As a player I am very coachable and willing to take feedback and learn from it. I am also a great teammate and can bring lots to a team in that sense. Areas that can always improve are getting stronger and more fit in the gym. On the ice I can work on my defensive position and like everyone else work on my skating. Doing morning skates before school, shooting pucks in the garage, and working out year round. Also watching players my age and older who are better than me to see what they do well. I listen to stories about other athletes for inspiration and to see their journey and the struggle they went through. I hate losing more than anything so that is always pushing me to my max to get better.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
Energy and being a supportive and good teammate. I also bring confidence and fast play. A committed player who is always looking to improve and get better any way possible and is always looking for feedback.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I want to be on a team where I can contribute and make a difference, looking to make lifelong friends and have an impact on the people and community around me. I want to be a person who little kids can look up to in the community.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
I believe it is a combination of being the hardest working person you can but also just being naturally talented. The best players are players who are looking to learn and everyday looking for something to work on. And Practice on your own outside the team consistently
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
My favorite thing by far is the team aspect of the game and being able to create lifelong relationships with the people I met along the way. And I love winning and when I am able to contribute to the team.
