Nick Gauvin joins the Visionary Team!🚨

A big welcome to our newest Hockey Representative, based in Regina, Saskatchewan Nick Gauvin!🎉

Nick Gauvin grew up honing and developing his skills on the ice in Ontario, Canada. From there he was fortunate enough to play at Yale Hockey Academy in Abbotsford BC through his OHL draft year. Impressing scouts at Yale, he was drafted to the Windsor Spitfires as the 72nd overall pick in the OHL draft. During his rookie year, Nick was assigned to the Spitfires affiliate the LaSalle Vipers Jr B team. A strong first season in GOJHL led to Nick getting called up to make his OHL debut late in the season, and getting his first taste of Jr A hockey.

Going into year 2 at OHL camp Nick had his knee looked at and was told he would need surgery immediately and would not play at all that season. Over the next 2 years, Nick received 4 surgeries and went through 2 separate recoveries to get back on the ice. In 2017 at 19 years old Nick was forced to retire from Junior Hockey due to his lingering knee Injury.

"I am now 25 years old and incredibly motivated to offer support and advice to young players who want to make the best decisions for their future. I know from personal experience nothing is guaranteed, however, with hard work, perseverance as well as meaningful help and support you can give yourself the best possible chance to achieve your goals on and off the ice."
