BCEHL U17AAA Champions🏆 Congratulations to Jax

BCEHL U17AAA Champions🏆

Congratulations to Jaxon Godwin, Kasen Harrold, Conrad Hall, Clayton Gillmore and the Okanagan Rockets U17 AAA on winning the BCEHL U17AAA Championship!

With some of the players coming off a loss in the U15AAA finals last season, there was some extra motivation to not fall short again this season. Finishing the regular season second place in the standings OKR faced off against 7th seed South Island Royals U17 in the first round, winning the series in 3 games. In the second round, they took on the #3 seed Cariboo Cougars U17, again winning the series again in 3 games.

Then came the finals where they were matched up against the 1st place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds U17, who were a powerhouse all season long and finished 10 points ahead of 2nd place OKR in the standings. Losing game one 4-1, OKR had to battle back and in impressive fashion won two straight games to claim the U17AAA BCEHL Championship!

A physical presence on the ice, Edmonton Jr. Oilers Orange U18AAA Assistant captain Cale Nachai finished the season with 9🚨 and 13 points. Standing at 6 foot 4 and 187 pounds Cale has all the makings of a dominant power forward at the Jr. A level!💪

Playoff Performer🔥

2007-born forward Carter Bergen has been an offensive force for the Warman Wildcats U18AA team in the playoffs. Carter had an impressive regular season putting up 1.28 PPG but has taken his game to a whole other level so far in the 2023 playoffs. He has 5🚨and 14 points in 8GP, which has him currently second overall in playoff scoring.

Carter has helped lead the Wildcats all the way to the provincial semi-finals, which starts Friday, March 17, 2023, vs Saskatoon Riverkings.

We can't wait to see Carter and the Wildcats battle it out in the semi-finals as they continue their push toward the Provincial finals!🚀
