What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
My main goal over the next 5 years is to play Junior hockey in a competitive league where I can continue to develop as a strong player. I also want to continue playing hockey at a university or college where I can earn a degree and eventually transition into a successful career.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
These are my goals because I love playing hockey and want to earn a degree to have a successful career. If I were to achieve these goals, it would mean everything to me. I would be extremely excited if I could continue playing hockey in a high-level competitive league because of how much I enjoy playing it and how much I like training to be good at it.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
As a player and a person, I am always competing and trying my hardest at whatever I do, whether it’s hockey training or my schoolwork. I am dedicated to succeeding and putting the time and effort into achieving my goals.
I feel that I may be able to develop my mental strengths more, such as using visualization and mindful focus, to gain more confidence and help me perform stronger while under pressure.
I continue to improve by reevaluating my training techniques and changing them to focus on areas I feel I need to focus on or based on feedback from my coach
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I bring many different things to any team I play for. I am a positive, dedicated player who never gives up. I am also versatile and can transition from playing forward to defense. I am a strong, selfless player who will defend my team in any situation. I always give 100%
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I want to have a winning impact and contribute to the team’s success.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
The best players in the world are distinguished by their talent, mentality, and work ethic. They are defined by their dedication and hard work to become the best at what they do.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
I love the comradery in a hockey team. I also like the fast pace of the game.
