What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
My main goal in hockey is to eventually play NCAA college hockey, hopefully at the Division 1 level. Beyond that, I want to make an impact using my hockey abilities, whether impacting a small community through my junior experience or providing some knowledge and guidance to the young athletes I coach.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
My goal to play NCAA college hockey is important to me because I always strive to play at the highest level possible. Still, it would also mean a tremendous amount to me to get a great education because of my athletic ability, as it would help out my family a lot.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
I stand apart from others as a player and as a person because of my eagerness to improve; I was never considered one of the best players growing up, but I had to continue to look for different opportunities to better myself and to allow myself to not only catch up but surpass the best goalies.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
Coaches can expect consistency in my performances and efforts in practices and games because I understand the preparation and work it takes to be consistent.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I love the process as much as I love the results.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
The most important attribute that separates the best players in the world from the rest is hockey IQ, the ability to read, react and process information at such a high speed is the consensus number one most important attribute.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
Besides the competitive aspect, my favourite thing about the game of hockey is how unforgiving it is. You can’t afford to take a day off, and I love doing all the little routines it takes to be better each and every day.
