What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
Some of my main goals are to play junior hockey and then eventually play NCAA division 1 hockey.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
These are my goals because I want to play high level hockey. My goals are important to me because it gives me a purpose each and every day to try and work towards my goal. It would mean a lot to me because it is something that I really want to do and is something that I put a lot of hard work into.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
I am an extremely hard working and a coachable player. I am someone who would put in my best effort in the gym and on the ice. My biggest strength in my game is my skating. I am a fast forward who can use my speed to my advantage. The area that I need to work on is my shot and my finishing ability. I can continue to get better by trying to learn from other people while also trying to improve my craft everyday.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I am a positive guy who doesn’t complain and also a team player. I am a hard working player who is hard on the forecheck and finishes hits. I am a type of player that gives my best every shift and puts in my best effort each and every day. I am someone who likes to play with passion and wants to win and I will do whatever it takes to help my team win.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I want to be known as a person who respects others and is kind to everyone. I also want to have a lot of team success and I want to win. I also want to be involved and give back to the community often by doing some volunteer work (i.e. Food bank, united way etc)
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
I think what separates the best players from the other players is their work ethic and their passion for the game. The best players are always trying to improve their craft and they never stop learning. They also always find ways to improve their skills and they are determined to try and improve every day. They also focus on their eating & sleeping habits.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
My favorite thing about the game is just being able to play the game that I love. I am so grateful and thankful that I am able to play this sport. Just being able to go out and compete with the other players is what makes hockey fun. Another favorite thing about the game is the friends you make along the way. It is awesome to meet people in hockey who would eventually become your close friends.
