What are some of your main goals within the game over the next 5 years?
In the next 2 years I hope to be playing Junior hockey at the Junior B, Junior A, or OHL level. From there I’d like to play for a school to help pay for my education.
Why are these your goals? Why are they important to you? What would it mean to achieve them?
I love hockey and want to continue to play the game at the highest level possible that I can and that will also lead me into a potential career I love. I love farming and anything to do with agriculture. It also would be super beneficial for hockey to help me financially which would result in less stress and happier living.
What separates you as a player and person? What are some areas requiring work? How do you continue to get better?
What separates me as a player, is that I do not shy away from working hard and trying to improve what I can learn about the game. I want to improve my skating, and my shots. I want to be better disciplined and to remember to give 100% effort constantly. I am going to keep training hard, and working on skill development in skating, stick handling, shooting, and being in position to become more consistent.
What do you bring to any team you play for? What could a coach expect from you if they selected you for their roster?
I like to bring my 100% consistent effort and level of play every time I play and I like to guarantee that for any coach or roster I am selected to play for.
What impact are you looking to have in your sports career? (Community, team, success, etc)
I want to give back to my community, helping kids see the positive aspects of team sports. For my team, I want to contribute to a positive team environment in my attitude and skill so we might win and to enjoy my time playing the sport. Success for me is improving my game and contributing to my team’s success.
What do you believe separates the best players in the world? What attributes/intangibles define them?
The biggest thing separating the best players in the world is their mindset. A positive attitude, the willingness to work harder than others and the ability to visualize greatness in themselves but remaining humble enough to see that there can always be room for improvement. The greatest athletes in the world have mindsets that push them to greatness.
Favorite thing about the game (on or off ice)?
I love making big plays in big (and little) moments within the game.
